Facial Plastic Surgeons specialize in performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the Face, Head and Neck. Specialization of the face, head and neck assures the patient that their physician is expertly and specifically trained to perform surgery for that particular part of the body.

Dr. Bartlett is one of the few surgeons in the Vancouver area to have completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and also to be Board Certified with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Bartlett is also a certified fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons FRCS(C) and has a faculty teaching appointment with the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Bartlett's certification by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) means that he has met the rigorous standards of the ABFPRS, qualifying him as a "board certified facial plastic surgeon".

Certification by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery signifies that:

• Dr. Bartlett has completed an approved residency after medical school in one of the two surgical specialties focusing on facial plastic surgery (Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery or general plastic surgery).

• Dr. Bartlett is Double Boarded, which means that he has earned certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Bartlett is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

• Dr Bartlett has submitted for peer-review by the ABFPRS a record including operative reports of varied facial plastic procedures performed over a period of several years.

• Dr. Bartlett holds proper licensure and subscribes to the ABFPRS Code of Ethics.
